Hi All,

I finally got around to putting an Air2 on my BCD. I bought it in Flagship - they don't sell them but had one which was new when taken off an Oceanic BCD - 25 euro Very Happy ( mind it cost a further 50 to get a hose Confused ).

Gave it a go last Sunday and it breaths fine. The mouthpiece was a bit rudimentary so I took one off an old snorkel and much more comfortable and secure in the mouth now.

This allowed me to take my octopus away meaning I have one less dangly bit on the dive.

So now I have my main reg ( on a 48" hose ) or Air2 to donate and my pony reg slung under my chin should the main kit pack it in. I need to do a few more dives with this configuration to see if it suits but signs on it it's just the ticket for me.

Cheers

Chris

I told u it would be a better option - I wouldnt donate the AIR 2 though as the hose would not be long enough and also it would be giving someone else the control of your BCD inflation / deflation

Aye, not so much a case of donating and more a case of pointing out it's available if needed in emergency ( I mean everyone can usually find the mucking big hose on a diver's right shoulder no matter what their orientation in the water). After that the victim can progress to the long hose and a controlled ascent.

Good point about pointing out beforehand that the only button to be pushed is 'purge'.
