Hi Guys,
I'm not sure if I have this in the right location but I wonder do any of you know where I can get dive tables online? I am looking for air and nitrox buehlmann tables for carrying on dives. I spotted a person using these ones that were punched in the top right hand corner and they looked handy because they could all be strapped together and then strapped into the pocket of drysuit/bc on a cord so that they couldn't be lost. They had left before I got a chance to ask them where they got them. They were nearly like a card.
The ones I currently have are the ones issued to me when training. They are laminated but if I punch them the laminate would fail, preventing them from being brought on dives.
Sorry if this doesn't make too much sense, but cheers for the help if it does and you know of a place to purchase these online!

Jammer
Can't help you with replacement tables but offer a suggestion instead.
If you punch your existing laminated table and run superglue around the cut I'd imagine that'd give a watertight seal and prevent moisture penetration. ( ??? )
Regards
Chris

That might work. Would it be worth the risk though? It might be an idea to test it on another laminated card though.

Using a test card sounds a good idea. I think superglue is thin enough that it would be sucked up by the exposed card before it gets a chance to set, but can't be sure.
Best of luck

Jamey,
I used to have a copy of the BSAC tables stuck on the back of my distance reel. Bewarned the stops are quite short - be careful.
Example 36m for 37mins = 20mins stops. They come free with the BSAC tables - buy a set on ebay.
The PADI ones don`t go to 50m - not 100% sure.
If you can afford it buy 2 computers - both the same. Safest option.

Personally, I write out my profile for each dive on a wrist slate, but I also have back-up tables I wrte myself.
I took my favourite deco software, and wrote tables for a range of dives - depths and bottom times, and printed them out on paper. Then laminated them twice to waterproof them.
I wrote 3 sets of tables:
(1) Air Only - I also carry an "Equivalent Air Depth" table I made so I can convert nitrox times.
(2) Air & my usual single deco gas
(3) Air and my usual 2nd deco gas (in-case I loose the first deco gas)
So, I have my specific run times for any dive I am going on, but if that goes wrong or gets changed, I always have hard copy back-ups in an algorithm I know works for me.

OK, but please know what you are doing with deco before using these.
I use them as back-up thus they don't have as much information as you may want. i.e. I don't have stop times, just run times. The gases are switched at 21m for 50% & 9m for 80%.They are also rather 'compact'.
I have only included up to 50m, I don't know what I have done with the file for the deeper ones.
I use:
- 15m/min descent time.
- 6m/min ascent time (this is slower than most people).
- last stop is at 6m.
- last 6m ascent should take 1 min.
- Algorithm is VPM-B +3
- I think I have copied the numbers over correctly, but can't promise it (seriously).
- They are based on this being the first dive for 2 days - i.e. you don't have a build up of nitrogen in your body over 1 ATM.
Even though I did this, I still plan every dive. I only use these as a back-up. It only takes 5mins to plan a dive, but a bend lasts much longer.
