SC

Not going myself but looking at the site the place looks cool !

For the uninitiated have a look at ....

www.dailymotion.com/vi...W4WGB5kg7Z

The thing that gets me about the place is the viz. I know people say diving is not about the depth and I get that but it's not the whole truth. Diving is PARTLY about the depth. I mean it's great if you spot an octopus in 1 mtr of water but for some reason that same octopus takes on some mystic quality when seen at 40 mtrs. OK, maybe that's my immaturity talking Neutral but that is how I feel at the time.

Nemo give you the chance to see what 35 mtrs actually looks like from top- down and bottom-up and so gives you a better appreciation of scale. I know I find it frustrating when on a 30 mtr dive with 3 or 4 mtrs viz and find it difficult to get a sense of scale in my head as to where I am and what I am doing ( immaturity coupled with lack of imagination Rolling Eyes ). Then I get to the surface and later I am trying to visualise what I did - recently I worked out that on my deepest dive if the surface of the water was the height of the ceiling in my living room then on that scale I was about the height of the 4" skirting board ( immaturity+lack of imagination + vanity Embarassed ).

Have fun at Nemo and here's hoping the viz is good Very Happy !

Cheers

Chris
